There are different ways of using the Digital Concert Hall. People who like things simple watch it on their computers. Then there are those who prefer to watch it on the television connected to their laptops. Now there are even more ways to enjoy the Berliner Philharmoniker’s online concerts from the comfort of your own living room: with Sony’s TV and Blu-ray™ appliances which have direct Internet access.
As more and more videos are available on the World Wide Web, what could be more convenient than to watch them on your television? Sony’s new Internet TV makes this possible: watch the programmes you’ve missed with catch-up TV services or view video clips from popular sharing websites such as YouTube via LCD TVs, Blu-ray™ players and Blu-ray™ home-cinema systems. Thanks to a partnership between the Berliner Philharmoniker and Sony, all the videos in the Digital Concert Hall archive will also be available – and of course in brilliant HD video and audio quality.
Standard Digital Concert Hall tickets give you access to this service. So anyone who purchases a 48-Hour Ticket, a 30-Day Ticket or 12-Month Ticket can watch the Berliner Philharmoniker’s concerts on Sony Internet TV at no extra cost.
Please note that live concerts are not supported at this time.
